Inspiration, Where You Find It.

I recently purchased a book for training a skill that we were (let’s say) stuck on.  Its subtitle was “Proven Secrets of the – Pro.”  The book was informative, broken down into steps, and especially focused on FUN, FUN, FUN…  that was at least for the “typical” kids.  The mere 2 pages, devoted to “special needs” literally started off with It’s necessary, NOT FUN… Be careful, Be sure to Record, Record…   Uuughhh!  Boring.  This was the opposite tone, approach and attitude of the rest of the book.

The true gems, however came from the little quotes sprinkled throughout.  So, I say find inspiration where ever you can in life, and let the rest fall away.  (My personal favorites are the last 3.)  Enjoy!

In raising my children, I have lost my mind but found my soul.  -Lisa T. Shepherd

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.  Let him step to the music that he hears, however measured or far away.  -Henry David Thoreau
