In the words of Walt Disney, “It’s kinda fun to do the impossible.”

Much of the world has a prevalent mindset: “This is as good as it gets…” or “There is nothing else I can do.”

I am here to say, journeying a hurt child to wellness, IS possible.  Is it easy? No  Is it convenient? No…  It takes stamina, endurance, commitment, and most importantly faith in your own child.  That is why, I believe in Empowering Parents in regards to their own children.

These kids (no matter what their labels) are stronger than imagined, smarter than anyone would have guessed, and waiting for us to make the connection, and find them in their world.  The real irony is that, most of them do not even know they are hurt, UNLESS WE TELL THEM, incessantly with our words, our actions, and attitudes.

My family’s journey to find answers has taken 8 years, and $250,000. of our own hard-earned money, as well as a few fundraisers.  This was excruciating, difficult, and heart-wrenching.  With each new try, I would get my hopes up, see a little impact, and then realize, this approach is not going to get us through…. keep looking.

We were missing keys to unlock the nervous system; we were missing pieces of the whole.  For our journey, we have needed to explore nearly all elements to find what may work.  This makes me uniquely qualified.

For some kids, they may need one or two keys things, and they recover nicely.  So often, I have had the slightest little interactions with other children (mostly while in waiting rooms) and the child just LIT UP with a whole new vigor for life.  “Well,” I thought to myself, “I know the approach that will work for you.”  Each child is a unique individual…

I love pulling pieces together, asking questions, and pondering…  If it works, for even some?  Why does it work?  Once I discovered the missing elements, I created my Unified Theory For Healing.
